Subject: Subcommittee Changes

The Accredited Standards Committee ANSI Z136 would like to announce recent changes in two of its subcommittees. The Laser Bioeffects Subcommittee and the Medical Surveillance Subcommittee have been merged. The new Subcommittee (TSC-1) has the scope which includes both discussing technical information related to parameter dependence of eye or skin damage and assuring up-to-date maximum permissible exposures are established; and also to determine the appropriate protocols required for sufficient medical surveillance for laser standards. If you are interested in participating in this technical subcommittee, contact Bruce Stuck (bestuck@z136.org).
